A Score cannot be bought
The Digital Reality Score is maintained by PageRadar. PageRadar also sells audits, remediation and monitoring that help companies be represented more accurately. That is a conflict of interest, and this page sets out how it is handled.
What a PageRadar engagement can and cannot change
The Score measures how accurately the internet represents a company. PageRadar’s work changes what the internet says: correcting stale sources, adding evidence, fixing the company’s own statements. When that work succeeds, the Score measures the result the same way it would measure the same fix made by the company itself or by any other agency.
No payment, contract or relationship changes how a Score is calculated.
Commitments
- One methodology for everyone. Every Score is produced by the published methodology. Clients receive no methodological treatment that is not available to every company.
- No paid Scores. There is no paid tier, plan or option that raises a Score, hides a finding or delays publication.
- Disclosure. When a scored company is a PageRadar client, or has been in the past twelve months, its profile says so.
- Separation. People working on a client account cannot edit observations, decisions or review outcomes for that company. Disputes from client companies are reviewed by someone not on the account.
- Free corrections. Any company, claimed or not, client or not, can dispute a finding or submit evidence at no cost.
- Versioned rules. Methodology changes are published as new versions before they are used. Historical Scores are kept as they were published.
- Published calibration. Calibration results will be published, including when they are unfavourable.
- Observation, not judgment. Findings describe what sources say. There are no “worst company” rankings.
What the Score does not measure
The Score measures the accuracy of information about a company. It does not measure whether a company is trustworthy, ethical, financially sound or good at what it does, and no badge or profile should be read that way.
Raising a concern
If you believe a Score has been influenced by a commercial relationship, email hello@digitalrealityscore.com. Concerns are reviewed outside the account team and answered in writing.
